Day Seven -- Someone who has gotten you through a lot

Everyone meet the guy I tend to talk about all the time.
This is my best friend of all time, Jeffrey Curtis Gibson.
Currently Elder Jeffrey Curtis Gibson.
This is him 6 months into his mission.
Jeff and I have been friends since 9th grade.
Best friend since 10th grade.
He's helped me through everything from family tragedies to self-esteem issues.
He always knows just how to make me laugh, or at least let out a smile.
It is always easier to smile around him.
I used to go to him for everything.
When he left I was a little lost, I didn't know who to talk to. This lets me appreciate him all the more.
And no matter how many times I complain and bother him he always pulls through for me, because that's just the person Jeff is. He's the most self-less, forgiving, humble person I know,
and he's gotten me through a lot!
Thanks Jeff!

Day Six -- A Picture that makes you laugh

The day I was born.
From the skinned knees to Scott's rollerblades to Tyler's doll face to Rebecca's squished face this picture is hilarious to me.

Most of the pictures that make me laugh are our family pictures.
This one encompasses our 80's/90's lifestyle. We had just moved into our new house in Ivins. I was about nine years old.
Mike is missing because he's on an LDS mission in Fresno, California.
I post this because I think it's important to remember to laugh, even if things are hard.
To find something that makes you happy when everything around you is sad.
My happy thing is, to me, my family. They are funny, sarcastic, and supportive.
But mostly sarcastic.
I love them.
They make me laugh.

Day Five -- A Picture of a person you'd be lost without

Everyone, meet my mom.
Judy Anne Nebeker
Formally a Kimball
I would be lost without her.
She's my best friend and I can tell her anything and everything.
We go to Krave together, talk about Jeff most of the time, and go shopping.
My mom always came to my soccer games, softball games, and cross country races.
Everyone wants a mom like my mom.
She's smart and goofy and knows how to cheer me up.
Throughout my life she's kept me close to the Church and gave me a testimony to lean on until I was old enough to have my own.
I remember a time when I was so sick I didn't want to eat a thing she made me fried mashed potatoes
and I've been craving them ever since.
I remember how proud she was when I graduated high school.
I watch what a great grandma she is as she gets down on the floor and plays with the kids.
I watch what a great mom she is as she holds my dad's hand.
I look forward to asking her how she did it all when I'm in her shoes someday.
I look forward to trying to be a mom like her.
Thanks mom!

Day Four -- A picture of someone you've had great memories with

Let me share this great memory with you.
This is my amazing sister, Rebecca.
No, she doesn't really look deformed. . .
She has always been my biggest example.
When I was younger I wanted to be just like my independent, soccer ball wielding, beautiful, blonde hair, blue eyed, one and only sister.
I still want to be like her.
These funny pictures were taken the day after Jeff left, a time when I was almost always sad.
My mom and sister took me to dinner and a movie.
We stopped at Best Buy to buy my mom a laptop.
Becca and I started playing around with the Macs and this is what happened.
I can always count on her to let me be weird and goofy.
Thank you Becca!

Day Three -- A picture of a missed memory

This one needed four pictures.
Even though I got dumped out of my kayak into the freezing lake I wish I could live this day again.
This is where Jeff got his nickname of Pop Eye.
As we were rowing toward the sound of baby ducklings I looked over at Jeff.
He was looking at me with one eye shut and the other wide open, sitting up straight and rowing as fast as he could.
We were rowing toward the sun.
It was so random and funny I gave him the nickname and it stuck for months to come.
This was one of those days I looked at Jeff and wanted to spend forever with him.
We found baby ducks in the grass.
We got totally lost and tired from laughing and racing in our kayaks.
I watched him eat about a hundred sandwiches.
I got dumped in the lake by my dad trying to get into my parents boat while he just stepped in like it was nothing.
We played war and the wind blew one card away into the lake.
We bit the heads off of Sour Patch Kids and threw the rest into the lake hoping the fish would be scared off and not caught (sorry mom that's probably why you didn't catch any fish that day ;) ).
This is one of my favorite memories.
I miss it.

Day Two -- A picture of a close friend

This is my friend, Chase.
He's been through a lot with me.
He's my. . .
Hiking buddy
Soccer buddy
Running buddy
Fireside buddy
and temple grounds buddy
He's calms me down when I'm freaking out about not hearing from Jeff.
Brings me to me senses when I'm unsure about mine and Jeff's future.
He's my best friend.
Thanks Chase!

10 Day Challenge

I'm starting what is known on Facebook as the 10 Day Photo Challenge
I figured it was more of a blog sort of thing.
I'm doing this on Jeff's blog to recognize the people, places, things that've have gotten me through this past year with my sanity.
With that there won't be an overload of Jeff's pictures on here.

Today is Day One -- A picture of yourself with ten facts

1. I'm nineteen years old
2. I want to live in St. George forever unless my parents move
3. I'm LDS
4. I have light brown hair
5. I play the violin and piano
6. I drive a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
7. I love to run
8. I love to play soccer
9. I have a pineapple plant
10. I was named after my great grandma, Sarah May Kimball

Today I realized, Heavenly Father knows I love strawberries.

It's another no brainer I should've known.
I know he lives, has a body, laughs, sings, talks, cries, breaths, aches.
Don't get me wrong, I know he's there. He's very real to me.
I've known that he knows that I do those things too.
But it occurred to me today that he also knows me.
Me, like me me. Like the real me, down to the core.
He knows I love strawberries.
He knows I love calla lilies.
He knows I'm terrified to play my violin in front of a crowd.
He knows I sleep on the couch more than I do in my bed.
He knows my favorite color of blue.
He knows I love the sunset, especially when there are orange clouds.
I've jokingly said to my friends, "orange juice is proof there is heaven!"
But now that I think about it I think it's proof Heavenly Father loves me.
Because I don't think there is a real rational reason orange juice exists except that it tastes extremely great and it gives us joy to drink it.
Men are that they might have joy.
